Transportation for Big Picture Learning Kenya
In the informal settlements of Nairobi, our young leaders are proving that the future is not defined by a test score. Through the Kuna Nuru Leadership Academy, they are securing professional internships and discovering their power as change agents. However, our recent independent evaluation by Bath Spa University identified one critical, structural threat to their success: the journey.
For a student living in poverty, the distance between home and opportunity is more than just miles—it is a dangerous and costly obstacle. Many of our students walk for hours through unsafe areas or skip meals to afford the rising cost of bus fare just to reach their workplaces.
We have decided to prioritize a dedicated transport van as our primary capital project. A vehicle is not just a piece of equipment; it is a "Mobile Bridge to Dignity." Here is why it is our most vital need:
By securing this van, we are providing more than a ride; we are providing a secure passage to a professional life. We are ensuring that a young leader’s focus remains on their passion and their projects, rather than on the dangers of the walk.
Join us in building this bridge. Your support ensures that for our youth, the road to a dignified life is finally clear.
