At Garden of Eden, the caregivers pour their hearts into the children — waking early to prepare meals, washing uniforms, helping with homework, comforting fears, and being present through long nights when a little one can’t sleep. They are the steady, reliable presence the children depend on. Yet these same caregivers currently sleep in shared spaces alongside the children, without privacy, personal space, or a place to rest at the end of their long days. Living in constant alert mode makes it harder to recharge emotionally and physically — and the children feel the effects when their caregivers are exhausted. Additionally the government has made it a requirement for the staff to have their own housing in order to continue the good work Garden of Eden is carrying.

This project will convert a shipping container into private staff housing, creating small but meaningful personal living spaces for the devoted team. With a secure and comfortable place to sleep, caregivers will find rest, privacy, and the energy to continue providing stable, nurturing care. When caregivers thrive, children thrive — because children feel safest when the adults who care for them are supported and steady.

Providing housing doesn't just create a room — it strengthens the entire community at Garden of Eden.
